A real passion for local traditions gave birth to our association “AGRITURISMI FERRARA”, a passion for gastronomic traditions as well as for a glorious art patrimony and environmental peculiarities fostered by an history that goes back to middle age and renaissence. Our farmhouse hotels can offer the possibility to live in a very particular country landscape where water is deeply linked with land, along the Po river or near the sea-side, in an environment dotted with small pools that go back to the hemp cultivation, a typical product of this area used to make the best quality ropes. Nowadays here you can see large orchards, pink flowered peach’s trees or white flowered apple's and pear’s trees, and taste the sweetest fruits picking them up directly from the trees. In our restaurants you can experiment the very particular Ferrarese cuisine, with its mix of sweet and salty tastes: it’s also possible to have cooking courses of traditional recipes. Ferrara’s territory is very interesting also for bird-watching, because in its ponds and lagoons many bird species have their habitat. Moreover, owing to the flat land, the territory is particularly famous for cyclotourism: there are many itineraries and our structure can offer a place to go to rest or take some refreshment while cycling, or even repair a broken bicycle. We believe in a sustainable tourism, with a slow rhythm, discovering rural traditions and environment, but mainly what in day to day life lack most, rest and peace.
